The TWM-Total Wheelset Management software developed by HEGENSCHEIDT supports maintenance companies in keeping a complete overview of data management, maintenance planning, and control of all wheelset-related maintenance processes.TWM is the digital basis for all wheelsets of rail vehicles and complete fleets, regardless of their size and complexity. The modular software structure makes TWM extremely flexible, so that not only can additional modules be integrated or exchanged, but customer-specific extensions are also possible.
TWM is available in two versions, "TWM Basic" and "TWM Professional", and provides all essential information online and therefore completely independent of location. TWM is the digital radar for the optimum condition of your wheelsets.

Function
TWM is divided into different variants and editions. The editions determine which data volumes can be processed and which hardware and software licenses are required. From a simple database to a product management system, the TWM modules cover the complete range of functions. The classification can be determined by the number of depots and the fleet size to be included in the TWM. It is always possible to upgrade from a lower edition to a higher edition without data loss.

We were guests at Verkehrsbetriebe Potsdam and took a look behind the scenes. The aim of our filming was to document the practical success story of the interaction between the newly developed and proven HEGENSCHEIDT wheelset maintenance modules. The following systems were used: TWM - Total Wheelset Management Software as THE central element of modern wheelset maintenance, the Argus overrun measuring system for wheelset diagnostics and the U2000-150 underfloor wheelset lathe.
Matthias Möbius, workshop manager for streetcar maintenance, summarizes the efficiency of the new overall system as follows: "These measurements used to take a very long time, between 20 and 30 minutes, sometimes up to 50 minutes if things went very badly. These measurements are now completed in 2-3 minutes, which is a huge advantage for us and frees up capacity."
