HEGENSCHEIDT Type 165 - Above-floor wheelset reprofiling with chuck

The HEGENSCHEIDT portal wheelset lathe (type 165CNC) is specially designed for production in high-performance workshops with rail-bound wheelset transport and medium to heavy machining. For this application, the base, the machine stand, has a portal-like design and bridges the loading track. The two supports are arranged overhead on the machine stand and allow unhindered loading of the machine in an ideal manner.

Areas of application and function

The HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD portal wheelset turning machine (type 165CNC) is specially designed for production in high-performance workshops with rail-bound wheelset transport and medium to heavy machining. In addition to machining new and used wheelsets, the machine also machines wheel tires and rims. It is installed flush with the floor and standardized process sequences such as wheelset loading, measuring and machining are fully automatic.

Clamping of the wheel set using a chuck - three-jaw chuck for radial clamping and four-jaw chuck for axial clamping
